Tribune Review Editorial

Dear Editor,

Why must Congressman Doyle, in his February 4, 2010 letter to the editor, defend “green jobs?” The answer is quite simple: It is not good economics and therefore must be defended by the political "elite". Congressman Doyle apparently believes he and other members of Congress make better economic decisions than millions of free Americans. Congressman Doyle believes that raising taxes during a recession so he can create earmarks to keep himself in office is a great investment. However, we are not fools. We understand exactly why he loves green, purple, pink or any other color of government-funded job. We know that free citizens keeping and investing their own money is the solution to the human condition. Let’s give this member of the political elite a “pink slip” in November and get the American economy back on track.
