Melissa Haluszczak wins Republican nomination

Melissa Haluszczak has won the Republican nomination to oppose Congressman Mike Doyle in the 14th Pennsylvania Congressional District in the November General Election.

Melissa expressed gratitude to the number of individuals who came forward to volunteer and assist in her grass roots campaign. “This is not about a political party. This is about our country and the country that we will leave to the next generation. Voters in our district realize the Doyle-Pelosi agenda is not good for our region and America. We cannot spend our way to prosperity on the backs of our children nor can we nationalize healthcare on the backs of our seniors. It is reckless to put American jobs at risk with a punishing cap and trade agenda that will do nothing for the environment. Today as I traveled to polling places throughout the district, I found voters outraged and opposed to bailouts, so-called stimulus legislation that puts us in debt to China but doesn’t create jobs, government take over of healthcare without reducing cost and improving quality, and politicians that will not listen to the will of the people. It is my goal to give these voters a new voice in Washington.”
