Family and Marriage

Melissa is pro-life and believes that children should be welcomed into the world and protected by its laws.

Melissa will not support the taxpayer funding of abortions. She will encourage polices that favor adoption and encourage parental involvement in decisions that involve minors.

Melissa also believes the tradition of marriage is sacred and is best defined as between a man and a woman. She will vote to protect the institution of marriage, including reductions to the tax penalty on married couples.

Melissa will work to strengthen parental choices when it comes to education, including voucher type options for all students.
